Pack 75 - Troop 75 - Crew 75 and their Scouts strive to achieve the requirements to earn the Nova Awards.
The idea behind the Nova Awards is that the requirements and activities for earning these awards will stimulate an interest in STEM-related fields and demonstrate how science, technology, engineering and mathematics apply to everyday living and the world around us.
Nova Counselor leaders and mentors bring this engaging, contemporary, and fun program to life for Scouts.
The first step is to complete one section. With this done the Scout earns the Nova patch pictured above right. The Scout can then earn three additional PI pins as shown to the left. The patch and 3 pins that attach to it each represent the 4 different devices of the four STEM topics--science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
