 Huntington Beach Mud Park
Join Pack 75 and Troop 75 for fun in the mud! The mud park offers the Scouts opportunity to engage in all types of fun activities. Where else can you get covered in mud and parents agree to it? Adults and siblings are also welcome. All ages are welcome. Recommended ages are 5 to 12. Location: Adventure Playground at Huntington Beach Central Park Meeting Place: At the entrance to the Mud Park Equipment: Close-toed shoes that can get muddy and possibly ruined. Swim trunks, old T-shirt and a towel. Also bring a change of clothes. Pack and Troop t-shirts not required or recommended for this event. Time: Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 1 PM to 3 PM. Cost: $3 for Scouts or siblings. Adults are FREE! Please RSVP to Miguel at 714-277-6548, just so we know you’re coming. Adventure Playground at Huntington Beach Central Park 7111 Talbert Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA Off of Talbert between Goldenwest and Gothard Park in the Parking lot for the Central Library. Please park towards the trees on the right. Once you have parked, head into Central Park and follow the asphalt path up the hill to the Adventure Playground. We will meet at the gates to the Playground.  The Scouts visited the Aquarium of the Pacific and got to pet some sand sharks. While there they also got to see crabs, and and other large sharks in the bigger tanks. The kids had a great time getting drenched in the water feature area. They made it rain in the LA Basin rain feature where the flow of the rainfall is simulated. It was a great time! Summer Recruiting is in full swing. Come join the fun and get a head start on the Scout year that follows the basic school year.
During summer Scouts have the opportunity to do lots of fun activities, especially outdoors. Here is a list of some things we will be doing this summer.
Pack 75 was planning a beach clean up and recycle day, but we have graciously been invited by Pack and Troop 167 to join theirs. It's a trifecta event. 3 separate beach clean up and fun days. Scouts attending these events will earn the Leave No Trace Behind Award. In addition this will count towards Scouts earning the National Summertime Pack Activity Award. Please let us know if you will be able to attend 1, 2, or all 3 days. Come meet fellow Scout Saturday, June 7, 9AM to 11 AM. Saturday, July 26, 9 AM to 11 AM. Saturday, August 9, 9 AM to 11 AM. |
